A must-read for junior high school mathematics – factoring
After entering middle school, there will be subtle changes in what students learn. They learn more and different things, especially in core subjects. Today I would like to introduce to you a basic and important topic that you will be exposed to after entering junior high school – factorization.
Commonly used related formulas:
- (a+b)(c+d) = ac+ad+bc+bd
- (a+b)(ab) = a2 –b2
- (a + b)2 =a2 + 2ab + b2
- (a – b)2 =a2 – 2ab+b2
- a3 + b3 = (a+b)(a2-ab+b2)
- a3 –b3 =(ab)(a2+ab+b2)
- (a + b)3 =a3 +3a2b+3ab2 + b3
- (a – b)3 =a3 – 3a2b+3ab2 –b3
