A must-read for junior high school mathematics – factoring

After entering middle school, there will be subtle changes in what students learn. They learn more and different things, especially in core subjects. Today I would like to introduce to you a basic and important topic that you will be exposed to after entering junior high school – factorization.

Commonly used related formulas:

1. (a+b)(c+d) = ac+ad+bc+bd
2. (a+b)(ab) = a² –b²
   
3. (a + b)² =a² + 2ab + b²
4. (a – b)² =a² – 2ab+b²
   
5. a³ + b³ = (a+b)(a²-ab+b²)
6. a³ –b³ =(ab)(a²+ab+b²)
7. (a + b)³ =a³ +3a²b+3ab² + b³
8.  (a – b)³ =a³ – 3a²b+3ab² –b³
